GRUPO AMPER SIGNS AN AGREEMENT WITH RUEDAGUA TO DEVELOP A TELEREADING SOLUTION FOR WATER METERS, BASED ON NBIOT COMMUNICATIONS
Grupo Amper, through its IoT division, has signed an agreement with RUEDAGUA to develop a clip-on, based on NB-IoT narrowband cellular communication, which allows the automatic reading of the accumulated consumption remotely from the meter, as well as reporting alarms in real time. This “clip-on” uses a long-lasting battery, which ensures an operation of the equipment for more than 10 years. All this is presented on the IoT platform that Amper has developed, which receives the data and analyses it, providing all the information required for management and billing. As a complement, APPs can be used both for customers and for the operations of installation technicians.
The advantages of remote meter reading have multiple benefits, such as simple and secure access to data in real time, without the need for an operator and without disturbing the end user. Erroneous readings are eliminated, and reports can be monitored and generated, as well as detailed analysis of consumption patterns by user or zone. All this information is also used to alert of leaks in the network, on detecting deviations or excessive consumption.
Grupo Amper provides a complete solution, adapting to different meter manufacturers, equipment and needs. All its R&D and manufacturing are in Spain. This allows a closer contact and a good service both in the development phase and in the technical and after-sales support.
With this, Amper consolidates its position in the remote metering market within the water sector, providing yet another solution to the IoT world.
Amper IoT: “We are committed to the future by introducing IoT technological innovation in our products”.
